A sort historical flashback for Ruby on Rails.

David Heinemeier Hansson is the instigator of Ruby on Rails, as it came from his job at Basecamp, a project management tool. It was originally released as open source in July 2004, but in February 2005 other developers were able to give their code. The most important point was when Apple announced that Ruby on Rails was going to be released along with Mac OS X v10.5 in August 2006, and released in October 2007.

Below we will see some features of Ruby on Rails.

MVC Architecture: Ruby on Rails is based on the MVC (Model View Controller) that allows data to be separated from the presentation.
Custom URL: Custom or friendly search engine URLs can be developed using the Ruby on Rails framework.
Database Access Library: Ruby on Rails includes a database access library - Active Record - which simplifies data management. Active Record automatically maps tables to classes and lines to objects.
Libraries for common tasks: Ruby on Rails includes a number of libraries that simplify the coding of common programming tasks.
Debugging: Analytical error logging files that make it easier to find bugs in applications.
Components: Components can be used to save reusable code as well as can be included for forming pattern.
